Whilst undergoing basic training Conrad Davenport showed special skills in the field of unarmed combat, together with a degree of physical fitness which outclassed any of his fellow recruits. After a certain incident involving an NCO., he was seconded into a branch of British Army Intelligence, and sent to Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Paris. The most prestigious 'posting' in the British Army.  His mission, to infiltrate or eliminate an OAS cell headed by Ahmed Ben Bella, an Algerian freedom fighter.
As part of his cover he is placed in an apartment with the voluptuous Iesha Legrande, of French intelligence who assists him with his mission. They become lovers and share many 'white hot' passionate and tender moments.
At the height of the OAS atrocities Conrad comes to despise all that the terrorists stand for and having witnessed at first hand a gruesome bombing, he vows to himself that the terrorist must never be allowed to defeat the laws of democracy and freedom.

About the Author

Colin Denby came into the world on the 29th November 1938. He was a frail, chronically sick child, every childhood disease prevalent at the time afflicted him, not singularly, but collectively. Doctors advised his parents as they traversed the countryside seeking both employment and a rent free home, that their son would not, in their considered opinion, reach his teens.
Throughout his formative years, especially during the winter months, as bronchitis racked his feeble body, his mother would sit by his bedside holding his hand and whispering ‘heal yourself, heal yourself, there is no can’t’. And then she would softly begin to sing in her magnificent mezzo-soprano voice Gounod’s Ave Maria, his favourite piece of music. Hour after hour she sat by his side urging him to fight his afflictions, and become strong.
When he started school he was a frail underdeveloped child with a terrible stammer, this affliction seemed to delight his English teacher, who made him stand up and read aloud, which he could not do. She would then drag him to the front of the room, stand him in a corner and place a pointed hat on his head which had a large ‘D’ painted on it. He was bullied and laughed at because of his affliction. Life as a child was hellish.
As he approached his teens the stammer began to fade and he blossomed. Athletics, tennis and rugby were all played to a high standard, and academically he was transformed. In the forces he excelled at all these sports and became adept in the art of self defence and unarmed combat. Nothing was impossible, a legacy of from his mother. Having completed his arduous Royal Military Police training course, he was posted to Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Paris, with a ‘Top Secret’ clearance classification.
Currently he is actively involved in politics and is one of the principal members of The New Party as well as being chairman of the Lancashire Branch, and has stood in the local elections for the past five years. Now in his seventies, he spends his leisure time writing. Whilst his works are fiction, they are based on fact and his life’s experiences.
He has been married to Brenda for over forty years, his childhood sweetheart. They were blessed with two sons, Paul and Craig, however Paul was killed at the tender age of fifteen. Adversity, hardship and poverty have been bed fellows of Colin’s for many years, however, determination, resilience and persistence are deeply ingrained in his soul, and have come to his aid in his darkest hour.
His motto in life? There is no CAN'T!
